We work with authors to polish their manuscripts to the highest standards in the publishing world. This may first involve a structural editor, who suggests where fat can be trimmed, sections expanded or taken away, the work better organized, or how it can flow better; in other words, becoming that “ideal reader” and working hand in hand alongside the author.

In the second editorial stage, once the manuscript is ready, a talented and diligent copy editor suggests corrections to spelling, grammar, sentence structure, and infelicitous phrasing, and often does fact-checking as well. Finally, once it has been typeset, a proofreader reviews the galleys to notice layout problems.
